The base of this bracelet is worked in three-bead netting across the width of the bracelet. Working across the width instead of the length enables you to successfully obtain the perfect fit for your wrist. Netting is a very old stitch  -  evidence of it can be traced back to Egyptian artifacts. Netting was a very popular stitch during the Victorian era and has many popular applications today. Netting is often referred to as Mexican lace, lattice stitch, mesh stitch and lattice lace. In this project the netting is launched off of a peyote strip which becomes your closure. Once the netting is complete it is embellished with semi precious stone chips.
