Salisbury Cathedral Windows Bracelet Tutorial

Salisbury Cathedral Windows Bracelet Tutorial

12.00

This project was inspired by the windows of Salisbury Cathedral in Salisbury, England. Salisbury Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral and one of the leading examples of Early English architecture. The main body of the cathedral was completed in only 38 years, from 1220 to 1258. The cathedral has the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom.  It contains the world's oldest working clock (from AD 1386) and has the best surviving of the four original copies of Magna Carta (all four original copies are in England). In 2008, the cathedral celebrated the 750th anniversary of its consecration. Its windows pull at your eyes the instant you walk into the Cathedral. I used rich colors of CzechMates Brick beads to resemble the sun backed stained glass and a seed bead color to bathe them in sunlight. Each bracelet panel is worked in a quasi-square stitch and the panels are connected together with right angle weave.
