The Grace Bracelet was inspired by a pair of vintage 1930’s Cartier earrings. The project is worked predominately in tubular Ndebele (Herringbone) originated by the Ndebele (En-duh-bel-ly) tribe of South Africa. This bracelet has a supple drape, a unique texture worked into it with 'float beads' between the herringbone columns, and works up quickly because of its two-bead per stitch technique. If you are new to the Herringbone stitch, this project will have you hooked in no time. Three 6.5 to 7 inch lengths of tubular Ndebele are worked and then looped to form the base of the bracelet. The focal bead is bezeled in peyote stitch and is attached after the bracelet is complete.
